Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how 15748666 Canada Inc., operating as Digital Meteors ("Digital Meteors," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with our website, our AI Voice Agent service, and our digital marketing services. This policy applies to visitors of digitalmeteors.com, business clients who use our services, and end-user callers whose information is processed through our AI Voice Agent on behalf of our business clients.
We are committed to protecting personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) in Canada and relevant United States state privacy laws. We do not sell or share consumer data with third parties for marketing purposes.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information from website visitors
When you visit digitalmeteors.com or submit a contact form, we may collect: name, email address, telephone number, business name, message content, IP address, browser type, device information, referring URL, and pages visited.
1.2 Information from business clients
When you engage Digital Meteors as a business client, we collect: business contact information, billing details, business operating information needed to configure services, mobile phone numbers of authorized recipients for SMS notifications, and call data processed by our AI Voice Agent on your behalf.
1.3 Information from end-user callers
When an individual calls a business that uses our AI Voice Agent service, we may process on behalf of that business: the caller's name, phone number, address (if shared), reason for calling, urgency, and conversation transcript. This information is collected and processed for the sole purpose of providing the inbound call handling service to our business client. The business client is the data controller of this information; Digital Meteors acts as a data processor.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide and operate the AI Voice Agent service, including answering calls, qualifying callers, and routing transferred calls;
- Send SMS and email notifications to authorized business owners or staff regarding calls received by our AI Voice Agent;
- Deliver digital marketing services to business clients;
- Respond to inquiries submitted through our website or contact channels;
- Process payments and manage client accounts;
- Improve and tune our AI Voice Agent based on call data and feedback;
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our legal interests;
- Send service-related communications, including service updates and policy changes.
3. SMS Communications and Consent
Digital Meteors sends SMS messages as part of the AI Voice Agent service. This section describes our SMS practices and is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.
3.1 Who receives SMS messages
SMS messages are sent exclusively to business owners or authorized staff at companies that have signed a service agreement with Digital Meteors and have explicitly authorized SMS notifications during onboarding. We do not send SMS to end-user callers, to the general public, or to any number that has not been provisioned through our onboarding process.
3.2 Content of SMS messages
Each SMS contains a summary of an inbound call answered by our AI Voice Agent on behalf of the recipient's business. The summary includes: caller name, callback number, reason for calling, urgency level, and a brief description of the conversation. Every message ends with opt-out instructions ("Reply STOP to opt out").
3.3 Consent
Consent to receive SMS notifications is captured through three coordinated steps during onboarding:
- Signed service agreement. Each business client signs a written service agreement that explicitly authorizes SMS notifications as part of the AI Voice Agent service. The agreement specifies that the authorized recipient's mobile number will receive SMS summaries after each inbound call answered by our voice agent.
- Mobile number provided directly. The business owner or authorized staff member provides their mobile phone number to Digital Meteors during onboarding, via phone call, email, or signed onboarding form. The act of providing the number, combined with the signed agreement authorizing notifications, constitutes informed opt-in consent.
- Internal dashboard provisioning. A Digital Meteors staff member enters the authorized number into our internal admin dashboard, which enables SMS notifications for that client's account. SMS notifications are never sent to a number that has not been explicitly provisioned through this process.
Consent is opt-in only. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of any other purchase or service.
3.4 Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on the recipient's business call volume. Typical volume is between 5 and 50 SMS messages per day across all of our business clients combined. Individual recipients receive one SMS per inbound call answered by our AI Voice Agent on their behalf.
3.5 Opt-out
Recipients may opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message received from Digital Meteors. Opt-out is processed automatically and immediately terminates SMS notifications to that number. Recipients may also use the keywords CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, or STOPALL to opt out. Opt-out from SMS does not affect the underlying voice agent service.
3.6 Help
Recipients can reply HELP or INFO to any message to receive support information. For direct assistance, contact us at info@digitalmeteors.com or call 519-933-8501.
3.7 Carriers and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Digital Meteors is not responsible for delays in message delivery or messages that are not delivered due to factors outside our control, including but not limited to carrier issues, network outages, or device limitations.
3.8 No marketing use
We do not sell or share consumer data with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers and personal information collected during onboarding are used solely to deliver the SMS notification service and are not used for cross-promotion, partner marketing, or any other purpose.
4. Sharing of Information
We share personal information only as follows:
- With service providers that help us operate our services, such as cloud hosting providers, SMS gateway providers (for example, Twilio), payment processors, and analytics providers. These providers are contractually obligated to protect personal information and use it only to provide services to us.
- With business clients, where information processed by our AI Voice Agent is shared with the business client whose calls are being handled (this is the purpose of the service).
- For legal compliance, where required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights, the rights of our clients, or public safety.
- In a business transaction, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, in which case information may be transferred to the acquiring entity subject to this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
